Safety First! What You Need to Know Before Renting

Who needs this:

Everyone renting a jet car (aka personal watercraft) from us.

What you’ll need to do:

Before hitting the water, you’ll need to either:

Watch a short safety video that covers how to safely operate your rental
Show us your Illinois Boating Safety Certificate (if you already have one)

Where this applies:

All rentals on Illinois waters — it’s part of the state’s boating safety rules.

Why we’re doing this:

It’s required by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources to help keep everyone safe on the water. Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned boater, it’s important to know the rules and how to operate your rental safely.

When does this happen:

You’ll watch the video before your rental (unless you show us your safety certificate). We’ll also keep a record for at least a year, including your name, birthdate, and signature — just like the law says.
